New Monograph: Lung Diseases and Cancer – available now!

The latest ERS Monograph on Lung Diseases and Cancer has now been published. This Monograph: explores the common causal pathways of cancer and lung diseases; considers the diseases from an epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic point of view; and discusses the many ways in which they interact to influence patient management. The result is a book that will generate a better understanding of the relationship between lung diseases and cancer, giving rise to a greater awareness of the possible development of lung disease in people with cancer, and of the different types of cancer that are frequently seen in those with lung diseases. New podcast: Complex Breathlessness

 "This condition is really overlooked. The point of the Monograph is that it should, hopefully, raise awareness." In the latest instalment of the ERS Monograph podcast series, Editorial Board member Holly Keir talks to James H. Hull, one of the Guest Editors of the Monograph on Complex Breathlessness. COVID-19: state of the art

On 10 November, the European Respiratory Society will hold a full-day online event, covering the latest advances, data and best practices in SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19. Chaired by Professor Christopher Brightling and Professor Eva Polverino, the programme will consist of live presentations that discuss epidemiology, pathophysiology and management, both in adults and children.
