ERS/GINA live advocacy panel discussion

On World Asthma Day (2 May 2023), the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) will join forces to discuss key updates to recommendations about asthma management for adults, adolescents and children in the GINA 2023 strategy report. The webinar will consider how climate change and air pollution affects asthma patients, and what clinicians can do to select the most appropriate inhaler for their patients.

Breathe: pick of the week

Respiratory Life: the challenges of peer review

In the second episode of Respiratory Life, Professor Brian Kent is joined by respiratory consultants Lara Gleeson, Imran Sulaiman and Breda Cushen. The panel discuss a recently published paper on the effect of remdesivir in patients hospitalised with COVID-19, before discussing the process, perspectives and challenges of peer review. ERJ: pick of the week

This systematic review published in the European Respiratory Journal identified and appraised the validity of selected outcome measures for severe asthma with input from key stakeholders.
