By 2030 it is estimated that 1.4 billion people will be over the age of 65. With chronic lung diseases (e.g. COPD, ILD, asthma, lung cancer, bronchiectasis) over-represented in older persons, this represents a challenge for the respiratory community and population as a whole. In response to this challenge, the European Respiratory Journal (ERJ) is calling for new submissions on ageing and lung health, offering fast-track peer review and publication for suitable papers. The deadline to submit is 30 June.

This year's Congress will feature a 5-day programme covering the latest updates in respiratory medicine, science and research – including the return of the popular Wednesday special programme on the event's final day.
