Episode one of the new Lung Health Matters podcast series is now available. The series looks at the important work the European Respiratory Society (ERS) does to advocate for better respiratory health at EU level and beyond. The first episode is hosted by Professor Barbara Hoffmann (ERS Advocacy Council Chair), who is joined by Professor Monika Gappa (ERS Past President) and Professor Marielle Pijnenburg to discuss the topic of childhood respiratory care.

Care and transitional recommendations for TEF

On 8 October, the European Respiratory Society (ERS) will hold a webinar on "Care and transitional recommendations for the respiratory complications of esophageal atresia-tracheoesophageal fistula". Tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) is a rare congenital anomaly with long-term respiratory and gastrointestinal sequelae. The International Esophageal Atresia Association recently published care recommendations on the management of patients with TEF, and consensus guidelines on the transitioning of youth with TEF to medical care. This session will review these recommendations.
