Detecting M/XDR-TB with MODS assay

A new multinational study published in the European Respiratory Journal evaluates microscopic observation drug susceptibility (MODS), a noncommercial drug susceptibility test. The study has found MODS assay to be an excellent, low-cost method of detecting multi/extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (M/XDR-TB).
